An exciting initiative.

This is a new initiative launched by Cheadle Hulme Methodist Church to help and support sufferers of dementia and almost more importantly their carers.
Starting in November last year on the second and fourth Monday afternoons of the month Memory Lane is for people with dementia accompanied by a relative or carer. The afternoon begins and ends with tea and biscuits and offers opportunity for social interraction. Activities include board games and singing, table tennis and boules. There is a short devotional slot with a hymn, reading and prayer. Our volunteers, who come from across our Churches focus on conversation with the guests, and provide opportunity for the carers to talk amongst themselves for mutual support.
The group meets from 2pm to 4pm and forthcoming dates are as follows:-
