Thank you Cheadle Hulme

We’ve had a really good Christian Aid Week and a big thank you to the people of Cheadle Hulme for supporting us with generous donations totalling £4,365 so far plus another £500 which will be generated by gift aid.

That’s in addition to £800 which was raised from the ‘Brew and Bake’ in April and the monies being raised by Rev Ruth Gouldbourne from Grove Lane Baptist Church who has been walking 10,000 steps each day during the month of May.

Our volunteers have done lots of steps too around our local streets in delivering close to 10,000 envelopes whilst our water walk criss-crossed a route of over 20 miles during the week. All that exercise!

We mustn’t forget brain exercise too and Cheadle Hulme Methodist Church held a very successful quiz night on 15 May.

So thank you to everyone who has helped us including those who have looked after the envelopes which were delivered to our Churches. It’s not too late to donate and to celebrate Rev Ruth’s finishing her challenge, have a look at her justgiving page or drop a donation off at any of our Churches.
